Welcome to Hamburg!

It is my great pleasure, on behalf of the GTH – the Society of Thrombosis and Hemostasis Research – to welcome you to the 71st Annual Meeting of the GTH, taking place in Hamburg, Germany, from March 2 to 5, 2027.

With the congress motto “Interdisciplinary Research. Accessible Care.”, GTH 2027 highlights two defining pillars of our field: the power of interdisciplinary science and the responsibility to translate innovation into tangible benefits for patients.

The scientific program will offer a comprehensive and dynamic overview of current developments in thrombosis, hemostasis, and vascular biology. Plenary and state-of-the-art lectures by some of the most highly respected voices in their fields will be complemented by oral communications and poster sessions presenting cutting-edge research across the full breadth of our discipline.

A novel discussion panel entitled “Accessible Care” will address challenges and opportunities in healthcare delivery across the full spectrum of settings, from large metropolitan centers to rural communities, and explore how close interdisciplinary collaboration can help improve access to high-quality medical services for patients everywhere.

A particular highlight of GTH 2027 will be a novel complementary Research Workshop. This workshop will provide exciting insights into modern biophysical and biochemical approaches in thrombosis and hemostasis research. Through hands-on sessions combined with focused lectures on theory and application, participants will gain direct exposure to state-of-the-art methodologies and advanced techniques. The workshop is designed to foster active exchange and to support researchers in addressing current and emerging questions in our field.
